Good Morning Everyone

Over the next three to four weeks the staff rooms will be given an industrial cleaning.  This weekend October 13, the Jordan Phillips staff room will be cleaned.  Teachers who occupy that room are asked to secure their property (i.e. books, charts etc). Items to be disposed should be placed on the corridor after 2:40 p.m. for removal to the skip.

APPENDIX F

Basic Structure for Risk Management in a School (School Safety Committee)

• The coordinator is responsible for the performance of the Committee. He/she shall maintain effective communication with local education and emergency authorities.  His/her immediate assistants are the team coordinators, who form the Committee.

• At the same time, each team coordinator is in permanent communication and coordination with the School Safety Committee Coordinator and other team coordinators. 

• This communication and coordination is necessary to ensure an appropriate development of the School Safety Plan in general and, in an adverse event, good emergency response operations.

• Emphasis should be placed on the concept of UNITY in the components of the organization, despite the various hierarchical levels and different functions.
